11.30.07 Yeah, so I clearly haven't been much of a good webmistress lately. Sometimes life gets in the way of complicated web updating. As much of a nerd as I am, my web programming skills are not so fantabulous that I can write up a super easy web update program. This shit is basically straight up HTML baby. Time consuming, which is why I would never dream of attempting to make any money doing websites for people other than my friends. And even that I'm not good at. Lucky for you, I carry my camera everywhere and also walk everywhere which means that I have a small handful of random snapshot of classic cars here in NYC to show to you. Things I came across wandering around to one place or another. Have I downloaded them off my camera yet? No. Or maybe yes, but I forget where I put them. I'm the worst website administrator ever. xoxo KK

11.04.07 Boy howdy! Look how we've changed. We're a blog. Not exactly, I guess. But pretty damn close. I looked around while coming up with ideas about how I wanted to redesign the site and it seemed to me that the only format that made sense anymore was BLOG FORM. So here we are. What's new? Well, NYC is not the most highly active classic car location in the world, for starters. This isn't exactly condusive to having lots of new pictures from new hot rod related events, which saddens me. There is, luckily, a fairly substantial Rockabilly scene in NYC, so there are always some decent shows to attend. I generally am one of those people who totes their camera around with them all over the city |

which has been good snapping a picture of the random classic car or two that I see around town, a good example being the LeSabre there to the right, which I saw while on a walk to Astoria with my friend Eve sometime last year. We were down by the big Coca Cola sign in LIC when I saw two or three old beaters parked along the road. In fact, on our walk to Astoria I happened across at least four pre '65 vehicles that were worth their salt in Greaser Garage land. I suppose in Queens where shit is cheaper there are more people with parking spaces which = more people with cars = higher probability of seeing rides like these. Like my automotive math skillz? Yeah. Fantastic. |

So while you will now be forced to wade once again through my pathetically trying prose, I think I'm satisfied with the way this is gonna go. I'll be able to update this page here with all the newest information about everything rod-related I have to offer and hopefully it doesn't suck. Additionally, I'm still in the process of figuring out the layout of this entire site (don't know how I feel about having two sets of scrollbars going on within on webpage itself, but whatever... your input is welcome. Point being, try not to be annoying if shit is shifting around every time you come back. |
