![]() This was Crummy's pick for "Best of Show" at the registration...crusty and cool. |
The interior was equally as cool with sprint car steering wheel, one-gauge dash and complete with pin-up girl sticker. |

![]() This pickup has a strange story that we could only deduce the plot of, since we never talked to the owner. It used to be owned by a man who was hot rod shop owner from Ontario, Canada. We talked to him last year. But now, it is driven by a woman and has the address & number of the shop (on the driver's side door) crossed out with drippy red paint. Can we say, "Divorce??" Or so we would assume! |

![]() This was a nice turqouise boat if I ever saw one! If it was ours, we would change a few things (for starters, the awful wire wheels!) but then again, it isn't so we'll just leave it at this. |

![]() This junker had a nice flatty. |
![]() Seen this ride before in past years...looking fine as ever. |
|||
![]() Fine blue Sedan with a good deal of money in it! |

![]() Now this, THIS is potentially the most unreal piece of steel we've ever seen at a show in our area! The guy that was driving it is the one in the picture knocking back the drink. It was unbelieveable, and so damn loud with the straight pipes and all...too much for words! |
![]() I gave this my "Best of Show" for the registration, hands down! |

![]() Always present at the York shows is the "Twice 16" rod, which, as the story goes, was built by the owner when he was 16, sold, and then bought back about 30 years later (I believe) and he now is the proud owner of this fine coupe...again. |
|||
![]() Recognize the guy with the pomp to the right of that shot? His name is Yankee Dave (or whatever the hell it is) and he is "oh so well known" on the East Coast for having his black roadster, which has graced the pages of at least one rod magazine I know of. Ooooooh...how special. (Note the sarcasm.) |
![]() A fabulous silver Lincoln Zephyr that blew my mind. |
|||
![]() Nice little roadster with a sticker-laiden firewall. |
![]() Close-up, Mr. Demille?? |
|||

||||
![]() Belly Tanker on display. |
![]() Flamed Ford. |
|||
![]() The "GMC Boys" as I refer to them. They're a group of guys from our area who have fabulous GMC & Chevy trucks that always look great. |
![]() |
|||
![]() the "So-What" speed shop truck we thought belonged to Clark Bates - a man we don't know but who works in Gettysburg and builds only the sweetest rods we've ever seen in our area! |

![]() This was my favorite car of the entire weekend. If I ever have a Merc that looks this good I will probably be burried in it when I die. |
![]() A rear shot of the custom Mercury. Pointy fins, low profile...damn that is beautiful! |

![]() Now here is a sad story...this little Killdeer built her nest right in the middle of the parking lot where they were parking cars for the show. We parked right near her on our way in and felt bad...her nest with four eggs was RIGHT in the path of all the traffic. So, being the animal lovers we are here at the Greaser Garage, we attempted to relocate her nest to a safer spot allllll the way across the parking lot. Well, much to our dismay, not only did she never find the nest but there were so many cars at the fairgrounds that someone ended up running over the nest at smashing all but one egg. To make matters worse, there were tire tracks right over the old nest as well. But at least we tried. Hey, you win some, you lose some. |
|||
| Well, that's all for now. We still have another roll of film from the show to have developed, so we'll get those pictures (they are some of the best ones!) to you as soon as we can! They're photos of what is referred to at York as "Gasoline Alley", and you'll see what we mean...as soon as we get the pictures ready! | ||||
